For your consideration, a lovely vintage West African tribal basket decorated with leather fringe, cowrie shells, and antique and vintage coins. I believe the basket is Nigerian in original, a Yoruba tribal piece. The coins decorating the basket date from the late 19th century to the 1940s and the basket likely dates to the 1950s-60s. The basket is in overall good condition with some fringe loss on one side only, mild staining to the leather trim, and mild staining to the foot noted in photos. The basket doesn’t have any weird smells. Signature required for delivery.
