Vintage Lalique Clear & Frosted Crystal CANNES Octopus Cigar Ashtray

Rare vintage Lalique France crystal cigar ashtray or bowl or desk tidy with heavily carved pattern all around. Known as the "Cannes" design, this lovely piece features raised octopus tentacle design all around with contrast in clear and frosted texture. This typical model was created by Lalique in the mid-20th century. Marked underside "Lalique France"

This listing is for a lovely Lalique clear and frosted glass cigar ashtray in the CANNES pattern issued in the mid-Century period and is currently retired. The ashtray has a thick glass body decorated with a raised octopus tentacle design that encircles the body in alternating panels of clear and frosted glass. Marked on the base in block letters "LALIQUE CRISTAL FRANCE".
Measures 2 1/4" high and 7 1/2" in diameter (at widest). Weighs 3.9 pounds.
This nice cigar ashtray is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws other than some minor rubbing and surface scratches from normal wear on the base.
