Original Lalique Crystal Sylvie Vase.
Graceful handmade in France, Lalique crystal "Sylvie" vase is said to capture the true harmony of doves symbolizing peace, fidelity and love.
This vase was originally designed by Marc Lalique in 1956. Vase features clear and frosted crystal and a removable fitted clear crystal flower frog inside.
The vase is Signed on the bottom of the vase. (Retailed new for 00.00).
This piece is in very good condition, no chips or cracks - and it has the original flower frog insert which is often missing in these pieces.
Rene Jules Lalique (1860-1945) was a celebrated French designer who was famous for his naturalistic designs and creations of art glass, perfume bottles, vases, jewelry, chandeliers, clocks and automobile hood ornaments. He designed jewelry for Cartier, Boucheron and others. In 1885, he opened his own business, designing and making his own jewelry and art glass pieces. By 1890, Lalique was recognized as one of France's foremost Art Nouveau and Art Deco designers. Lalique is synonymous with creativity, beauty and quality.
This lovely vase measures approximately 7.87" high x 6.46 wide x 3.98 deep. Weight is  5.33 pounds. Handcrafted in France.
