    Description

    Item under consideration is a mouth blown, round, 5 1/2 inch diameter, NOGENT COMPOTE/CANDY DISH. Featuring a clear shallow bowl supported by a  4 frosted bird, 2 inch tall pedestal.
    The bowl has a delicate ruffle pattern (see photos# 4 & 5).
    The satin finish of the birds contrasts beautifully with the transparency of the bowl and there is a sensual blend of frosted and clear optics complimented by the delicately formed fluid lined lobed pattern of the bowl.
    Designed by Marc Lalique in 1966, this small bowl has become a Lalique classic.
