Lalique France Cendrier Bowl. Signed. 8.5" x 7" x 2.75" H.

Description

Lalique called this retired lead crystal bowl a cendrier, which means ashtray in French. However, it is overly large for an ashtray. I think perhaps a cigar ashtray. Whatever they had in mind, it works perfectly as a candy or trinket bowl. It would also make a great soap dish in an elegant bathroom.
Frosted on top and clear on the bottom. There are figures that look a bit like serpents crawling across the width in the middle.  Smooth on the back and in the center with a pattern of ridges rising up on each end.
Measurement: About 8.5" long x 7" wide x 2.75" high. Very heavy, about 4 pounds 6 ounces.
CONDITION: It has a very tiny chip in the upper face, about 1 mm. Please see the last picture. And a few little scratches on the bottom.
Otherwise, in good antique condition.
But I do not guarantee that there is not a very small one that I could not see.
