    After studying jewelry making in France and England,
    René Lalique
    registered his "RL" stamp in 1888.
    Lalique
    transitioned from jewelry to enamel and glass in 1890 and then began a partnership with
    Françoise Coty
    in 1907.

    continues widespread production of glass art to this day.
