This listing is for a lovely Lalique CYRUS round crystal centerpiece bowl with a large frosted vibrant turquoise ribbon winding around the upper part of the bowl. The decorative ribbon alternates with ribbing in the design and plain frosted sections and stands in high relief from the clear glass body. This nice centerpiece bowl was produced by Lalique during the 1980's and is very attractive. Marked with etched signature "Lalique France" and original paper label with style # 12290 on base.
Marc Lalique
developed an innovative injection technique to incorporate color into a single piece of clear crystal. The process placed the frosted turquoise ribbon on the crystal vase by pressing the glass ribbon into the mold and then blowing in the colorless clear crystal. This was a complicated process which is
exclusive to Lalique creations.
Measures 6 1/2" high and 10" in diameter. Weighs 8.5 pounds.
This nice centerpiece bowl is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and even the base is free of scratches.
