This is a really adorable, and very hard to find, LARGE, adorable long golden Mohair ZOTTY teddy bear made by Hermann, a well known German teddy bear maker not commonly seen here in the USA. He has large brown eyes, a brown vertically stitched nose, the characteristic down turned stitched v-mouth, shaved fur snout and paws, and is five-way fully jointed. He is BIG!!! He stands 16.5 inches (42 cm) tall standing and 13 inches (33 cm) while sitting. He weighs a hefty 1 lbs 8 oz. He has a golden circus chain around his neck and his head and body are firmly stuffed. He was bought in the 1980's by my StepMom and stored all these years with her other collectible bears - this German bear is looking for a new owner to love and care for him.
He has a red and plastic chest tag with gold lettering which says "HERMANN® Teddy ORIGINAL" (used from the 70's up until today). I believe he is a Hermann Bear #84-42. The classic white with green letter Hermann cloth tag is attached to his right arm.
He is adorable, and in excellent condition! There are no holes, no stains and no wear on his mohair! He has never been played with or displayed. He comes from a smoke free, pet free environment.
From my Ebay, Amazon, and web searches, these large Hermann Zotty bears are hard to find. I didn't find any like this one on either Ebay or Amazon. To find one in such good condition is a real treasure! He would be a great addition to your Hermann or German mohair collection or would make a wonderful gift for a collector.
