    Description

    CLEVELAND ROCKERS lunchbox WNBA Chasity Melvin
    This is previously owned metal WNBA Women’s National Basketball Association 2002 CLEVELAND ROCKERS lunchbox. It features a Rockers team huddle with the text “Rockers - 02” on both the top and bottom. The bottom features the picture of Head Coach Dan Hughes with the text “WNBA Coach Of The Year” and “Rockers – 02,” surrounded by Cleveland Rockers logos. One side features the picture of #44 Chasity Melvin with the texts “WNBA All Star” and “Rockers - 02” while the other side features the picture of #25 Merlakia Jones also with the texts “WNBA All Star” and “Rockers – 02.” Both player sides also feature the color corporate logos for Kraft Foods and Giant Eagle. The lunchbox measures approximately 7 inches high x 8 inches wide and is in great condition.
    The Cleveland Rockers were a Women’s National Basketball Association team (one of the original eight franchises that started in 1997). The team folded after the 2003 season as the league was not able to find new ownership for the team (although they made playoff appearances in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003). The Rockers got their nickname to honor Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and started their season with players like Isabelle Fijalwoski and former Harlem Globetrotters member Lynette Woodard, who had been the first female player in Globetrotter history…
