    Beautiful Botswana Basket African Art 12 Diameter 5.5" Tall Up country Imports Hand Woven  The Botswana Basket
    The basket is found in limited quantities in the remote Okavango region of Botswana Africa, country of the Kalahari bushmen.  It is made form the strips of African grass, some of which have been root-dyed and woven into the basket to achieve the beautiful design pattern.  The same basket cannot be found twice.  No two are alike.
    The inhabitants of the Okavango region use the basket for carrying and storing grain and other foodstuffs.  Each basket is painstakingly woven by the coil-weave method to make it strong and durable.  You can feel its quality.
