Description
Up for your consideration is a Lalique (of France) figurine of a Goura Blue bird in its original box with the brochure. The enclosed brochure reads: "This exotic, majestic Bird with its impressive crest of feathers originates from New Guinea and is a new member of the famous Lalique Bestiary. The satin-finished crystal body, evokes the true beauty of the bird's shimmering plumage." The brochure also indicates that this figurine was made in 1996 and was a Marie-Claude LALIQUE Design. The figurine measures 4 3/4 inches long from the crest to the back tail feathers. It stands 3 1/2 inch tall at its highest point.
The box measures 6 inches long by 5 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches tall. The front of the box is marked: Lalique - Paris. On the back, there is a white label that reads: MOTIF GOURA BLEU - figurine Goura Blue - Motivo Goura Azul - Motiv Goura Blau -
There is a cut-out inside the box that fits the figurine perfectly. Foam lines the top line of the box. In addition to the brochure about the figurine, there is a pamphlet with instructions for caring for your Lalique crystal. The bottom of the figurine is etched Lalique (R) France. Four tan felt pads protect the bottom surface from being scratched.
The figurine is in excellent, like-new condition, with
no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are no signs of wear or use
